Dr. Kristin J. McIntyre, DVM

Dr. Kristin McIntyre was born and raised in Fresno, California. Growing up, she always had a strong passion for helping animals and has had numerous pets ranging from dogs and cats to birds and lizards. Not only did she enjoy side jobs such at pet sitting and dog bathing, but she also worked as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital and at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.

Dr. McIntyre attended California State University, Fresno where she recieved her Bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a pre-veterinary emphasis and minor in Chemistry. In 1998, she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with cum laude honors at Tuskegee University in Alabama.

After graduating from vet school, Dr. McIntyre returned to Fresno to practice medicine and surgery for small and exotic animals. In 2006, she opened Northpointe Animal Hospital in order to offer the highest standards of veterinary practice, state-of-the-art diagnostics, and a compassionate environment for her patients and clients.

She is married to her husband, Matt, and has two children, Grady and Kaeli. She also has three rescue dogs, Lucy, Scampers, and Popcorn, and two rescue cats, Dudley and Orange. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling, being outdoors, and has even trained in Shotokan karate.

Above all, Dr. McIntyre finds joy in helping pets feel better and aiding the community with pet health. She looks forward to seeing you and your furry, fluffy, and scaly family members!
