| | We have a well-equipped hospital for the examination and treatment of exotics and an educated staff to provide excellent care for these unique species.
Caring for exotic animals is more demanding than caring for the more usual dogs and cats. Each exotic animal has its own specific metabolic and physiological needs and you need to partner with your veterinarian even more on these unique species.
We recommend regularly scheduled physical exams on exotic animals, to keep a careful watch on their health status and to discuss proper care. Signs of disease in exotics can be very subtle, often unnoticeable, and it is too easy for these to go unrecognized until your pet becomes very ill. Regular exams can help you stay on top of your exotic pet's health care needs.

|
| | Zoonosis refers to diseases of animals that are transmissible to humans. Owners of exotic pets should be aware of how to guard against such transmission. Please see our section on zoonosis for more information. | |
