Prescription DietsTop of Page

Nutrition is an important part of treating some disease processes. For your convenience, we carry many prescription pet foods and can order any others that your pet may require. One popular food is  Hill's Prescription Diets and some examples of it are listed below.

Hill's Prescription Diet® Canine t/d®  & Feline t/d®
Prescription Diet® Canine t/d® and Feline t/d® are formulated specifically for the nutritional management of dogs and cats with dental disease. Its special fiber matrix scrubs the exposed tooth surface like an edible toothbrush, reducing bacteria-laden plaque. If left unchecked, this buildup can lead to gingivitis, a dental condition that can weaken the gums and tissues that support the teeth. The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet® t/d® may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.

Canine r/d® & Feline r/d®
Prescription Diet® r/d® is designed specifically for the management of pets that are overweight or obese. Being overweight can cause your pets discomfort, reduce energy levels and even shorten life expectancy. Just as in people, weight gain is usually associated with excessive calorie and fat intake combined with a lack of exercise. Obesity can lead to such serious conditions as heart disease, arthritis and diabetes. This prescription diet's low fat, reduced calorie, high fiber formula helps pets lose weight and increase muscle mass while helping them feel full. The nutritional formulation of Prescription Diet® r/d® may also be useful for pets with a variety of conditions.
